to worship – leave to serve.
Worship
– The church family worships each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. using a variety of worship styles. We sing the classic hymns and contemporary worship songs, a cappella and with instrumental accompaniment in a blended worship experience. Each Sunday’s message attempts to integrate Biblical truth with daily living. Children are welcomed to attend Junior Church which functions at the same time as morning worship twice a month.
Nurture – Christian Education classes are provided at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning for children, youth and adults. Adults often have more than one option for study. In addition to Sunday mornings, children are invited to attend Kid’s Club two Wednesday evenings a month. Kid’s Club is an interactive learning adventure which enables children to learn more about Jesus and daily faith expectations. The Mennonite Youth Fellowship (MYF) meets each Sunday evening, either by themselves or in cooperation with the youth of the Leetonia and North Lima Mennonite churches.
Fellowship – Several small groups for adults have been established for the purpose of Bible study and fellowship throughout the week. In addition to mixed and women’s small groups, a group of men meet for prayer each Saturday morning. Men of all ages also meet for breakfast one Saturday morning each month. During the fall and winter seasons, most Wednesday evenings are set aside for fellowship meals sponsored by our Family Life Committee. The food is provided for a small donation as busy families take the night off to come and break bread together.
Service – The church provides a wide variety of opportunities for Christian service throughout the year. The women’s Mary-Dorcas association meets the third Monday of each month to quilt and make comforters for those in need. Contributions of blankets and school kits are frequent collection projects for the Mennonite Central Committee, our denomination’s relief agency. Several church members are also involved in peacemaking activities, taking seriously Jesus’ admonition to love our enemies. Mission – The church takes seriously its mission calling, both locally and globally. Besides sharing the reconciling love of Christ in our respective neighborhoods, we support mission and service workers around the world through such agencies as Mennonite Mission Network, MMN Voluntary Service, Mennonite Central Committee, and Youth With A Mission.
